Wet dewatering WLTS High Frequency Dewatering Screen Use when washing or fine-sand recovery creates wet sand.
Slurry treatment HHT Automatic Filter Press Use when wet processing generates slurry that needs filter-press treatment.
Equipment Scope

Standard and optional equipment by section

Process section Standard equipment Optional equipment
Feeding GZT grizzly pre-screening feeder, preferred for construction waste because soil and fine debris can be separated before crushing. ZSW ordinary vibrating feeder when the feed has already been cleaned and contains fewer large blocks.
Primary crushing WLC jaw crusher series, such as WL80 / WL110 / WL125 depending on capacity and feed size. Mobile jaw crusher unit may be discussed only when the project requires frequent site transfer; public fixed-line page does not treat it as the standard configuration.
Secondary crushing PCZ heavy hammer crusher as the common recycled aggregate crushing option. PC hammer crusher for softer brick / tile waste; SHKX reversible fine crusher for finer recycled sand shaping; cone crusher should be considered if hard rock content is high.
Metal separation Suspended magnetic separator as an auxiliary module. Drum magnetic separator for high steel or rebar content, subject to configuration confirmation.
Screening Inclined vibrating screen for aggregate grading. WLGSX trommel screen for muddy feed pre-screening; horizontal screen for finer aggregate classification.

Mud Content

Mud-content assessment

  • Low mud: Soil content below 10%; mainly surface dust. A dry crushing and screening line is usually discussed first.
  • Medium mud: Soil content around 10%-25%; finished product may contain more dust, so spray dust suppression is recommended.
  • High mud: Soil content above 25% or sticky clay / silt content. Washing, fine sand recovery and filter press treatment should be discussed if premium aggregate or sand is required.
Pre-sorting

Materials to remove before crushing

  • Wood, fabric, plastic, household waste and organic waste
  • Large steel pieces that may damage crushers
  • Hazardous waste, chemical waste or contaminated soil
  • Oversized reinforced concrete pieces that cannot enter the selected feeder and crusher
  • High-clay or high-mud material when no washing or mud-treatment section is planned
Output Targets

Target products and operating goals

  • Recycled aggregate: 0-5 mm recycled sand, 5-10 mm, 10-20 mm and 20-31.5 mm aggregate for suitable downstream use after customer testing.
  • Road base or stabilized base material: 0-31.5 mm mixed grading without fine multi-size separation.
  • Backfill material: coarse crushed and screened material with lower size-control requirement.
  • Premium recycled sand: requires washing and desliming to reduce dust and mud content.
Washing

When washing is required

  • Backfill and road-base material can normally start from a dry crushing and screening process.
  • Premium recycled aggregate or recycled sand for sale should be evaluated with washing and desliming sections.

Selection Limits

Key selection limits

  • Suitable when the feed is mainly concrete, brick and asphalt waste with relatively low compressive strength.
  • Suitable for fixed disposal yards or demolition sites requiring continuous recycled aggregate output.
  • Suitable when dust control, wastewater treatment or steel recovery must be included in the process discussion.
  • If the feed contains large amounts of granite, basalt or other high-hardness rock, hammer crushing alone is not recommended; single-cylinder or multi-cylinder hydraulic cone crushing should be discussed for the secondary stage.
  • If rebar is very thick or steel content is high, drum magnetic separation should be considered instead of relying only on a simple suspended separator.
  • If soil content is above 25% and premium aggregate or recycled sand is required, a full washing, fine sand recovery and filter-press system should be discussed.
  • If the feed is mostly lightweight foam, plastic or wood waste, a sorting platform or air-separation system should be discussed before crushing.
  • For short-term temporary projects with frequent site transfer, a mobile crushing unit may be more suitable than a fixed production line.

FAQ

Frequently asked project questions

What must be removed before construction waste enters the crusher?

Large steel, wood, plastic, cloth and other non-inert waste should be removed before feeding. A feeder, magnetic separator and manual sorting area are usually discussed before the WLC jaw crusher.

Does construction waste recycling always need washing?

No. Road base or backfill material can often use dry crushing and screening. If the target is cleaner recycled sand or premium recycled aggregate, add sand washing, dewatering and wastewater treatment sections.

Which secondary crusher is used for recycled aggregate?

It depends on concrete strength, brick content, moisture, steel content and target size. Heavy hammer crusher, ordinary hammer crusher or roller crusher may be discussed after pre-sorting and primary jaw crushing.
