Overview
Application & process role
The PC ordinary hammer crusher is separated from heavy hammer crusher and European reversible fine crusher because its capacity range, material boundary and spare parts are different.
It is best used for medium-hard and brittle materials where a simple low-cost one-stage crushing process is more important than premium hard-rock wear life.

Series Boundary
How buyers should choose this equipment type
PC ordinary hammer crusher
Low-cost one-stage crusher for limestone, coal, shale, gypsum, brick, concrete block and medium-hard weathered ore.
Material boundary
Not suitable for high-hardness granite, basalt, iron ore and other high-compressive hard rock where wear cost is very high.
Process boundary
Suitable for small aggregate plants, cement raw material crushing, coal processing, construction-waste primary crushing and small washing-line fine crushing.
Selection Boundary
Ordinary Hammer Crusher Selection Boundary
Lower-cost medium and fine crushing option for small soft-stone lines.
Ordinary hammer crusher
Used for small and medium soft-material crushing where low investment and simple layout matter more than premium aggregate shape.
Choose when
- Material is relatively soft, such as limestone, shale, weathered stone, coal gangue or brick-type construction waste.
- Budget is limited and the line needs one machine to complete coarse and fine crushing for simple output.
- Feed size is within about 300 mm and the target capacity is a small line, roughly 20-80 t/h.
- Aggregate grading requirement is not strict, such as subbase material or backfill stone.
- The site is small and a multi-stage crushing line is not required.
Not suitable when
- High-hardness granite, pebble or basalt will wear hammer heads quickly and raise maintenance cost.
- High-mud wet material can paste the grate bars and cause blocking.
- Premium standard construction sand or high-strength aggregate usually needs better shaping.
- Large continuous production lines around or above 100 t/h are normally better matched with other crushing structures.
Advantages
Core advantages
- Simple structure, lower machine cost and compact footprint for low-cost small production lines
- Large crushing ratio can support one-stage crushing when the material is suitable
- Adjustable grate gap supports different discharge size requirements
- Sealed machine structure helps reduce dust leakage according to selected configuration
- Lightweight body can be matched with a mobile frame for mobile crushing layouts
- Wear parts can be replaced conveniently to reduce maintenance downtime
Limits
Operating limits
- Not suitable for high-hardness granite, basalt or iron ore.
- High-clay and high-moisture lump material can block the grate area.
- Not used for large premium aggregate lines where particle shape and wear cost are critical.
Model / Size Data
PC ordinary hammer crusher model reference
Tables show common size ranges. Final configuration is checked by material hardness, mud and moisture, capacity, product size, upstream / downstream equipment and site layout.
The PC series is for suitable medium-hard and brittle materials. It is not recommended for high-hardness granite, basalt or iron ore because hammer and liner wear will be very high.
