Overview

Application & process role

WLTS is the wet-duty screen used after washing or fine sand recovery. It reduces free water from washed sand or cyclone underflow so the material can move to belt conveying, stockpiling or the next wastewater-treatment step.

For dry aggregate classification, use inclined or horizontal vibrating screens. For wet sand dewatering, recovery underflow and tailings slurry handling, WLTS is the dedicated selection page.

Selection Note

Model range notes

WLTS stays on an independent product page because dewatering screens are dedicated wet-process machines. The general Vibrating Screen page links here for washing-line dewatering selection.

Display Logic

Website structure

WLTS is separated from dry inclined and horizontal vibrating screens. It is a wet sand dewatering machine; the general Vibrating Screen page keeps only the category boundary and cross-link.

How buyers should choose this equipment type

WLTS linear dewatering screen

High-frequency, low-amplitude single-deck screen for washed sand, tailings slurry and wet fine material dewatering. It is not used for dry crushed-stone grading.

Dry aggregate vibrating screen

Inclined and horizontal vibrating screens are used for aggregate classification and multi-deck product separation. Use WLTS for wet sand dewatering.

Advantages

Core advantages

  • High-frequency, low-amplitude structure with waterproof vibrating motors and wet-duty sealing for washed sand and slurry conditions.
  • When matched with a WS fine sand recovery system, the screen helps retain fine sand and reduce fine material loss under suitable process conditions.
  • Narrow-slot polyurethane dewatering panels are wear resistant and less prone to wet-material clogging than ordinary steel wire mesh in dewatering duty.
  • Small-angle linear dewatering helps water pass quickly through the screen surface and suits high-solids wet material better than an ordinary horizontal grading screen.
  • Single-deck dewatering structure keeps the machine body relatively low, making it easier to connect with belt conveyors, hoppers, recovery tanks or filter-press feed sections.
Limits

Operating limits

  • Not intended for dry crushed-stone coarse grading.
  • Not a multi-deck product separation screen for several finished aggregate sizes.
  • Feed over 10 mm or high coarse-stone content should be checked before selection.
Reference Data

Wet-process operating notes

Tables show common size ranges. Final configuration is checked by material hardness, mud and moisture, capacity, product size, upstream / downstream equipment and site layout.

Actual performance depends on feed grading, slurry concentration, screen media, water volume and upstream washing process.

Finished sand moisture Reference 12%-15% under suitable washing and dewatering process conditions.
Screen media Narrow-slot polyurethane dewatering panels are normally recommended for wet sand duty.
Matched process Wheel / spiral sand washer -> WLTS dewatering screen, or WS fine sand recovery machine -> WLTS dewatering section -> wastewater treatment.

Screening equipment boundary

These notes keep dry classification screens separate from wet dewatering equipment.

  • Inclined vibrating screen: dry crushed stone coarse aggregate grading and multi-size separation.
  • Horizontal vibrating screen: premium dry sand or fine aggregate grading where screening precision is the priority.
  • WLTS linear dewatering screen: dewaters washed sand, tailings slurry and wet fine material in wet-process washing lines.

FAQ

Frequently asked selection questions

Is a dewatering screen the same as a vibrating screen?

No. A dewatering screen is a wet-duty screen for removing water from washed sand or recovery underflow. Inclined and horizontal vibrating screens are mainly used for dry aggregate classification.

Where is WLTS used in a sand washing plant?

WLTS is installed after wheel or spiral washing, or after a WS fine sand recovery machine, to reduce sand moisture before belt conveying, stockpiling or downstream wastewater treatment.

What data is needed for dewatering screen selection?

Confirm upstream equipment, dry sand capacity, feed moisture, slurry concentration, required finished moisture, polyurethane panel requirement and downstream connection.
