SHY is the compact option when washing, fine sand recovery and dewatering need to sit in one wet-process machine.

For larger plants or layouts that need independent access to each process section, separate washer, recovery and dewatering units may be the better configuration.

System Flow
How the process works
Feed into washing trough
Sand enters the washing tank, where the wheel bucket agitates the material and removes surface soil, dust and impurities.
Slurry overflow
Fine-sand-bearing muddy water flows to the slurry pond or circulation sump.
Cyclone recovery
A slurry pump sends wastewater to the hydrocyclone, where fine sand is classified and concentrated.
Fine sand return
Cyclone underflow drops to the rear section of the dewatering screen.
Coarse sand discharge
The wheel bucket lifts washed sand to the front section of the dewatering screen.
Dewatering and discharge
The high-frequency screen dewaters the combined sand and returns screen water to the recycling system.

SHY is the compact wet-process core that combines washing, fine sand recovery and dewatering. A complete sand washing plant may still need feeding, crushing, screening, conveyors, ponds and filter-press wastewater treatment depending on the project.
When is SHY better than separate sand washer, recovery machine and dewatering screen units?
SHY is useful when the site is compact, the buyer wants fewer transfer points or the capacity range fits an integrated unit. Separate machines may be better for larger layouts, easier maintenance access or a more flexible process balance.

This SHY sand washing machine is unrelated to SHY filtering, washing and drying three-in-one machines used in pharmaceutical or chemical powder processing. The sand-washing SHY machine uses a wheel bucket, hydrocyclone and dewatering screen for wet sand and aggregate processing.
