Overview

Application & process role

PYB/PYZ/PYD spring cone crusher is a conventional cone crushing machine for medium and fine crushing in aggregate and mining lines.

It is suitable for customers who need a simpler structure, lower equipment investment and easier maintenance, especially in small and medium aggregate plants, older mine upgrading projects and mobile crushing matching.

Selection Note

Model range notes

PYB/PYZ/PYD standard models and basic parameter data can be used on the public product page. Custom liner chamber, power configuration and special site requirements should be confirmed by inquiry.

Display Logic

Series Boundary

How buyers should choose this equipment type

PYB coarse crushing

Coarse chamber used when larger feed from the previous crushing stage needs medium crushing before screening or further crushing.

PYZ medium crushing

Medium chamber for balanced capacity and discharge size in small and medium aggregate plants.

PYD fine crushing

Fine chamber for smaller discharge size, aggregate shaping and finer crushing duty.

Selection Boundary

Cone Crusher Selection Boundary

Hard-rock secondary and fine crushing equipment for premium aggregate and high-capacity standard lines.

Cone crusher

Used after primary jaw crushing for hard-rock secondary, tertiary or fine crushing.

Choose when

  • Raw material is high-hardness and abrasive stone, such as granite, river pebble, basalt or diabase.
  • The line produces high-standard aggregate for highway, bridge or concrete applications after jaw primary crushing.
  • Large standardized aggregate lines need continuous operation and stable output.
  • The finished aggregate requires more cubical shape and lower flaky content.
  • Iron ore or metal ore needs second-stage crushing in a mineral process.
  • Raw material is relatively clean and dry, without heavy clay.

Not suitable when

  • Soft limestone or weathered stone may not justify the investment in cone crushing.
  • High-mud or wet sticky material can damage internal eccentric and sealing structures.
  • Small simple sand plants with low daily output may find the equipment cost too high.
  • Cone crushers cannot act as the only primary crusher for oversized raw stone; jaw crushing is needed first.
Advantages

Core advantages

  • Spring overload protection allows the machine to yield when uncrushable iron enters, protecting the main shaft and frame
  • Simple and stable structure with low maintenance threshold
  • Common spare parts are easier to source for overseas maintenance
  • Lower equipment cost direction for budget-limited small and medium projects
  • PYB, PYZ and PYD chamber options cover coarse, medium and fine crushing applications
  • No complex hydraulic system, suitable for low-temperature or lower-maintenance operating conditions
Limits

Operating limits

  • Not preferred for long-term high-hardness basalt, granite or diabase production.
  • Not suitable for high-standard premium aggregate projects with strict particle-shape targets.
  • Manual adjustment and clearing make it less suitable for highly automated large plants.
