Series Boundary

How buyers should choose this equipment type

EC extra coarse chamber

Selected for secondary medium crushing where larger feed size and high capacity are required.

M medium chamber

Selected for balanced medium crushing and fine crushing in hard-rock aggregate lines.

EF extra fine chamber

Selected for fine crushing, premium aggregate shaping and high-standard manufactured sand workflows.

Selection Boundary

Cone Crusher Selection Boundary

Hard-rock secondary and fine crushing equipment for premium aggregate and high-capacity standard lines.

Cone crusher

Used after primary jaw crushing for hard-rock secondary, tertiary or fine crushing.

Choose when

  • Raw material is high-hardness and abrasive stone, such as granite, river pebble, basalt or diabase.
  • The line produces high-standard aggregate for highway, bridge or concrete applications after jaw primary crushing.
  • Large standardized aggregate lines need continuous operation and stable output.
  • The finished aggregate requires more cubical shape and lower flaky content.
  • Iron ore or metal ore needs second-stage crushing in a mineral process.
  • Raw material is relatively clean and dry, without heavy clay.

Not suitable when

  • Soft limestone or weathered stone may not justify the investment in cone crushing.
  • High-mud or wet sticky material can damage internal eccentric and sealing structures.
  • Small simple sand plants with low daily output may find the equipment cost too high.
  • Cone crushers cannot act as the only primary crusher for oversized raw stone; jaw crushing is needed first.
Advantages

Core advantages

  • Laminated crushing principle with large eccentricity and high swing frequency supports cubic aggregate and low flaky particle content
  • Multiple hydraulic protection cylinders support iron release, overload protection and full hydraulic cavity clearing
  • Fixed-shaft forged main shaft provides strong load-bearing capacity for long-term hard-rock crushing
  • Hydraulic motor adjusts the discharge opening automatically for higher adjustment accuracy and liner utilization
  • Intelligent PLC control can monitor load, oil temperature and pressure for remote operating status checks
  • EC, M and EF chamber options support medium crushing, fine crushing and extra-fine crushing with one equipment platform
  • Large crushing ratio and lower unit energy consumption direction for high-capacity hard-rock applications
Limits

Operating limits

  • Not economical for 50-100 t/h simple small plants.
  • Not necessary when only soft limestone or weathered low-hardness material is processed.
  • Feed must be controlled by upstream primary crushing and screening.
